115- JESSICA ALBA CASUAL

I found a tiny image of Jessia Alba on the sports page in the Toronto Star, showing her sitting at a Raptors' game. (I think they lost.) She was not all spruced up, and she seemed a million miles away. I loved the image, as it reminded me of a line Art Garfunkel once spoke in a movie about people revealing something of themselves in their faces when they are not aware of anyone watching them. When people are aware of being noticed, he said they put on a mask that fit a more public perception. Celebrities are constantly being hounded by the media for moments like these, feeding the frenzy for information about them. I'd just like to think we see her here in this adapted image (I changed the clothes) that she's just enjoying a quiet moment in her own little space. Others, in commenting on this image, said it looked like her, but not as they are used to seeing her. Some said she seemed sad. Others suggested maybe she was tired or upset. I don't know. That's what made the original image so intriguing and gave me an interesting challenge of showing someone not 'posing' for the camera.
